About Us

The Ground Zero Boys Just Havin' Some Fun!!!

Nick, Lee, Marco, Bear & Thomas
Ground Zero is influenced by the variety of songs we listen to and musical styles we play! Boiling it all together results in our unique style of cover songs ... close enough to the original (for recognition), but with our own branding.

We have found that we have the most fun playing when our audience has fun listening, watching, and dancing. And man, are we suckers for FUN!

Ground Zero gives it our all every night in every song we play!

Lee on Guitar and Vocals

LEE HAGEN...Lead Singer!

The only native Floridian in the band, Lee Hagan was born in Gainesville, Fl. His love and pursuit of music began at age three with the gift of his first guitar. At age eight he performed his first solo act at The Back Porch Lounge in Orange Lake, Fl. Following the example of his father, Sammy Dale Hagan, along with the guidance of his mother Susan Kay Carpenter, he continued his pursuit through grade school in the band playing all the valve brass instruments, piano and guitar. Leaving behind a full trumpet scholarship, Lee answered the call of duty and join the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic.

Seven years later and a life time passed he returned to Florida with his beautiful daughter Victoria Marie Hagan (Tori). While on vacation to Pine Island Lee auditioned for a local band. The position and support of the people for live music and aspiring talent convinced him to remain a resident of Pine Island and a performer of SW Florida. Since that time he has performed at many local venues with many local bands, too include several performances a year at Barbara B Mann Hall, in Fort Myer’s Florida, three years running.

"It has been three years since I have arrived in SW Florida. In that time I have Graduated, Performed, Fathered, Loved, Befriended and met many talented musician that I call my friends. I love this PLACE!"

Thomas born and raised in Germany, but Floridian by choice. He started playing in bands when he was 15; first as a guitar player then a few years later switching to bass.  After playing in high school bands he started touring with “FB Session” while in college and several years after (but who’s counting?).

He has lived in Lee County since 1997 where he's played in various local bands such as Progression, The Move (with AJ Mullins and later with Joe Johnson) and Time-and-a-Half (T.5). He has participated in projects with folk singer/songwriter Mac Martin and Bluesman Rastus Kain.

Thomas plays a variety of musical styles such as Rock, Blues, R&B, Motown, Funk, and even some Country.

Bear on Keyboard BEAR...on Keyboards

Born on December 18th 1979, David “Bear” Delli Paoli was exposed to music from the time he entered this world.  The son of a New Jersey drummer, there was always music playing and an instrument nearby to explore.  Strongly influenced by his father’s musical tastes, his favorites as a youth were The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Aerosmith and the Grateful Dead.  Starting in sixth grade with the saxophone, Bear began his journey into music.  That year for Christmas, his mother bought him his first guitar and he was hooked.

A man of many talents and many passions, Bear is truly an entertainer at heart and just wants to make sure people have a great time and enjoy life. (Click here for more info about Bear!)
